Movie review

The most important part of writing a film analysis is understanding that this is NOT A FILM REVIEW they are two separate things.  You are not summarizing the film and/or telling me whether or not you liked it; rather, you are coming up with an argument about the film and having a larger discussion about it.  If youve never done a film analysis before, I strongly recommend checking out this website for more information and guidance.

Assignment Requirements

1500-2000 words (roughly 3-4 pages).
You should use quotations from the film as evidence that you will analyze to support your arguments. Quotations should be cited and referenced in MLA or APA style.
You may NOT use any outside sources (no other websites, articles, film reviews, etc).  I want to know what YOU think.
You may write in the first person (use I)

The Dictionary definition of a villain is “a cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime; scoundrel; or a character in a play, novel, or the like, who constitutes an important evil agency in the plot.  A villain is often defined by their acts of selfishness, evilness, craziness, cruelty, and cunning, displaying immoral behavior that can oppose or pervert justice.  These definitions become somewhat fluid in some of the films we have seen. Explore the representation of villains in either (or both) Snowden and Tsotsi.
